When you say toggle, could you show what you mean by this? I was wondering if this was possible but sounds like it is and I just didn’t know

When you touch the screen, on the upper right corner of the Apple Maps display, you will see a squiggly line icon in a box. Pressing that switches the map view to the overall route, not just your current location on the route.

I just switched to iPhones. Is there a way to zoom in/out of the maps in Apple Maps in CarPlay on the X1? (just using two fingers, like on the phone)

Yes, but it will revert. Just like BMW maps.

My wife is still having apple car play connecting issues. Bluetooth has disconnected itself again, and now not connecting. It's really frustrating for her. We can't keep rebooting the car, as that is resets my android device too. Funnily enough I've had no issues with Android.
