The tire took the majority of the rash..thank God for thick, fat P Zeros. I’m not going to get it fixed because you can’t really see it.

But, now my OCD mind is going bonkers because now I feel every vibration from the suspension. So, a question, do you guys think I may have damaged the suspension or thrown the camber, etc out of spec?

I feel your pain, we have all done it and the expletives, very easy to fix with a mobile at home repair service, and a great feeling when done!

As wild as this may sound, go to your local Ferrari/ Porsche dealership. Throw them cash... you'll be stunned.

I was going to send my wheel out to my wheel guy, but then decided I'd try and fix it myself. I'm not a paint and body guy but I did have a module on it when I was in tech school. Finished result, damaged wheel, pre-paint version.
The process was basically:
Remove wheel, tape and wrap
Wash
Dry
200 grit paper
2000 grit paper
Clean with isopropyl alcohol
Hit with six coats of gloss black wheel paint.

It turned out surprisingly well but I think it needs a round of polishing to smooth out the finish. The whole process was about three hours.

About all you can do in this situation is remember somewhere in the world there's a man trying to fish with a bucket.
love to hear that and sometimes I need to remind myself of this.

In fact 2 weeks ago there was a construction crew who blocked my car into a spot. I attempted to get out and scratched my new beautiful black G80 rim. Right when it happened I was so upset...then my Dad said...woah son. if thats your biggest problem than your not doing too bad.

I went to Auto parts store and picked up sanding blocks 800, 1,500, and 2,000 grit and cleaned the area up. Then I taped off and sprayed gloss black 3-4 coats. Then I hit it with wheel clear coat for 2-3 coats.

It turned out okay..not perfect but not noticeable from a distance.

Eventually it will give me an excuse to buy rims.
