I doubt they'll build anything that even comes close...Nissan/Infiniti maybe. I've heard rumors the 2009 Z will be smaller and even more powerful. That will probably be the hot match up, sort of like the 335 coupe and the G37.

never was a fan of the Lexus brand......always thought Infiniti was more of a road enthusiast car, while Lexus focused on everyone's grandparents from long Island who drove coupe de villes in the late 70s

Most of the Lexus cars I've driven feel like youre isolated from the road, which is a good thing to some people.....

I doubt it will be a distraction for the 1er. The 1er formula is near perfection for an enthusiast that needs 4 seats. Good output, compact size, rwd and an accessible price point. Styling isn't without controversy, but what great car doesn't stir a little anyway.

I would expect a Lexus challenger to be a relatively soft-looking 1er clone, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a 4-door. Toyota has lost it's way on building truly interesting cars....

Competition is always good! Keeps manufacturers on their toes.

It's what drives companies to produce better products and doesn't allow them to become complacent.

Having more choices is always a good thing.

On the acura forum I moderate, we get quite a bit of reposting, crossposting and just plain posting on the wrong forum...

Please don't post offtopic stuff in the coupe forums, it just drives me crazy

I agree, but unfortunately when you post in other cars or off topic it never gets read or responded too. That is why people are just posting everything in coupe because everyone notices it and responds to it there.

Aint that the truth. It bothers me to post in ''off topic'' at the bottom but I adhere to the rules. They should change it to "Car Talk"

Or maybe it would be better if the off topic or car talk or whatever it is called is moved from the bottom of the screen to just below the coupe forum this way it is more visible??? I don't know.
