I’ve updated the software to 11/2024.30 as instructed. I wonder is this classed as a “fix” for the recall and as such cars with this update are no longer flagged with an outstanding recall thus allowing BMW to release a load of cars held by a stop sale? |

I had IBS repair #2 today. I was told it was an updated part but in my conversation with the service manager he said the total job I had completed in august needed to be completely redone. -
While in the shop I had the transmission recall completed This is on the 2023 X1 HenryG |

The middle of August they realized that some of the parts they had been using since March were also defective. So they issued an updated recall. Some cars that had the recall fixed before that date had to get new replacement parts because they had been fixed with defective components (mine was one of them) |
