There is a vinyl wrap shop out her that is an authorized Xpel PPF installer. For tint, he subs out. 'gram decked out with exotics and supercars, showroom has a myriad mix of cars. It doesn't guarantee quality IMO.... I watched as they were doing mods on a G Wagon and was using an angle grinder to cut a part away.....between seeing the hot sparky steel dust and the sheer proximity of the adjacent cars/cars, I was in utter disbelief that the car owners were not even aware of what their cars were subjected to in the care of this shop owner. |

I would definitely get a refund instead of having them try correcting it again. With things like tint, 4 times to try and get it right is unacceptable. It’s a lot of time wasted when a more reputable shop could get you done right.

Defect in tinting on brand new 2025 x5
Has anyone seen this happen to window? It looks to me like the tinting cracked or split for some reason. I picked up my 2025 x5 40i at the Performance Delivery Program in South Carolina early October. Drove home through Pittsburgh to Boston area and after a couple of months I noticed these defects on driver side window and back passenger window. I wash car either by hand or no touch car wash. I use Windex and Sprayway Window Cleaner with micro cloth. Brought it to dealer and they said they were scratches not defect in tinting. But I am not sure that is the case. I am looking to see if this could be warranty work. I did not notice when picking up car so something happened and I don’t think it is scratches based on characteristics of defects and locations.

I'm not even a tinter but could probably have done a better job with one of those kits from Advance Auto, an Xacto knife and a bright warm day so it is less likely to bubble. Ridiculous your car was let out of the shop with that crappy job. |
