I like its proportion better than the M6...larger coupes have terrible blind spots
size : M6 191.8 inch :::::::::::M5 191.1 inch

BMW M5 191.5 x 72.7 x 57.8 in CLS55 193.5 x 73.7 x 54.7 in

M6 191.8, overall width (inches): 73.0, overall height (inches): 54.2

Damn the M6 is long ha. The M3 is 180 in by the way. This is some worthless info ha ha.

I love the original C&D review of the M6 -
"Practicality isn't a part of the equation here. Neither is sharing. Aside from that occasional right-seat occupant one wishes to (a) impress, (b) terrify, (c) sleep with, or (d) all of the above, a car such as this is conceived for the gratification of its owner. And what could be more gratifying than leather-lined opulence hurled down the road by 500 horsepower? With suspension and braking equal to the propulsion? "

But the real driver's car is the M3.

The only thing im not sure about is the performance of the V8 up here. I have only owned turbos in the past ha. Evo IX, STI, 335i... Im pretty sure the sound of that engine is one of the best ive heard though reaching its red line Same goes for the CLS55 ha.
The thing is that you seem Im kinda in the same position as you. You will get bored with the CLS its a nice machine but I would need an other car to boot since it only comes with the auto tranny. You seem to come from japanese cars so the M3 is the next logical step. Theres a lot of things that you can do...older E55+S2K(350Z) or just CLS or just M3.

Obviously the other benefit would be that the M3 would be almost new with great warranty etc. I think for my purposes, the M3 would be the best bet. I love what some of the members on this forum have done to their M's. They are incredible. And im sure the performance in the M3 is amazing and I know its no Evo, but it would compare a bit more than say the CLS.

Shit haha!! Im all over the place.

By the way I just got home from work and on the way a guy in a 330i (id say 2002ish) asked if my 335i coupe was an M4.
