i dont get it, though. last contest someone entered a barcode and it was fine, there was a sepia entry and the winning image had color. am i missing something? maybe im just bitter because im a gamer who spent time on this and i cant submit it

All fair points and the reason I resubmitted a B&W version. IDK - its only for fun isn't it?

Thought the subject may cause a few "WTF!?"

i believe the sepia pic with the dog was not even supposed to be an entry in the first place...could be mistaken though. i did not consider the barcode "pic" as a serious entry, and if it had won i'm sure exif data would have been requested. i voted for the TGV entry based on its composition, knowing it had some blue hues/coloring to it...but also recognizing it to still be an exceptional picture if it were converted to grayscale.

jh valley, if you are enthusiastic about the subject matter, why not just create a photo composition that meets the rules of the contest instead of pushing for the acceptance of what is clearly not a "photo" in this respect, but rather more a graphic design that was composed of multiple photos (one of which is not even your own).

Hmm, this is a tough one.

Here is my submission. There is a Star Wars Lego video game, so I broke out the old Legos and made a chase scene between an X-Wing and Slave 1 (Boba Fett's ship). I tried to make it look a little cartoony/video gamey. Original picture available upon request.

ok so I'll toss this one in as mine. I was going for a bit of the old school video game look (like 16 bit, maybe even 32 bit graphics) at the end when you beat the game.

I included the title and signature in the pic also.

Also if you need some audio to help put you in the mood click here and enjoy some sweet techno guitar solos like you just beat the game!

Rivals

I had strobes on each side. One gelled red, and the other blue. taped magazines around the strobes as snoots to keep the light off of the TV or wall behind it. I love my TE fight sticks.

hmm.. interesting subject for a contest. I don't mind it, but I'd prefer to have ones that are more inclusive rather than a tightly focused subject matter that not a lot of folks participate in. I hope we get more turn-out. Plus the contests that are on differing photography areas helps to educate us while we shoot or learn from one another's shots.

I have some ideas for this round, but I'll have to drum something up.
