IMHO, this has to be the best looking Ferrari since the 355. Also, at 9000rpm this is probably the highest revving DI engine I know of. Some materials for your reading pleasure.

17mpg is pretty decent for what this engine puts out. What impressed me is how it manage the injection cycles for a DI engine at such high rev. If you look at other high performance DI V8 (R8 and LP560), they don't rev much above 8000rpm.

Most here know that I am a Porsche 911 lover. You could buy a facelifted 2010 GT3 and facelifted 2010 997TT, each loaded with options for the price of that puppy, but that thing is so horny, I'd rather have the F-car.

GT3 and a Pan Turbo for travel. I know most hate it but I don't.
Now if we are talking StUpiD rich money people that's another story. Can you say what your build out is on the GT3? |

The two on the outside are when it's in idle and the center one is when you open her up.

I'm still seriously surprised that this is such a universally-applauded design. The front end, specifically the headlight region, is unnecessarily busy, and the front bumper design is weak. Bland and soft.
Everything else is fine, although the diffuser looks like a toy piece.

I didn't mind the F430's intakes at all to be honest. The point where they met annoyed me, what with their rounded shape, and I wish they had more depth to them (they had an illusion going on, much like what VW does with most of their brake ducts). Anyways, I'm not a fan of this simple, black blocked out front end with these rounded off black finishing rods. They don't scream Ferrari to me. They look cheap honestly. The louvres on the front fenders also irk me, regardless of the fact that they flow with those strange hood vents. The front just doesn't look Ferrari enough to me, much like the California (although I guess that doesn't make sense, seeing as this is their new look). Oh well, can't argue with the performance numbers. Lambo for beauty, Ferrari for performance.

I believe I've read that the winglets in front of each wheel directly feed the fans, and they also deform slightly adjusting the amount of downforce created. In the other 458 thread I gave the wrong information on how the 3 pipes functioned. The correct process is the middle pipe is open at low revs, while the 2 outside pipes are closed. This process changes upon acceleration. |

Carrara white, with black full leather, XDZ, crests headrests, red seat belts, leather tunnel, paint to match ext. seat backs, carbon door sills, DE mounts, iPod, sound pack, bluetooth. I think that's it. |
