Some colors will look great on some cars and, at the same time, look terrible on another car. I happen to like PY on the E46 M3, but I know I would hate it on an E60

I also did not like the Phoenix yellow on Imola Red leather. I know the Phoenix/Imola guy is a member here, but just not a great combo IMO.

phoenix yellow is not the color that can be capture easily in photo, hence the op may think it is ugly in the first pic. but if your car is clean under bright sun or dark at night, it is one of the best color on the m3. especially if you have my combo.

here is my car at night, unedited/no extra image processing. just straight point and shoot camera.

But I agree. you either hate or love this color.

phoenix yellow is one of those love it or hate it colors.. I personally love it..

In 1995, I had a Mitsubushi Eclipse that was a very similar shade(maybe a little bit more greenish).. It was a factory color only like 300 made and it was the first car to have that "puke" color on the street.. I got everything from offers to buy my car on the spot at red lights to people feigning puke.. So i respect owners brave enough to drive a car this color.. you gotta have thick skin.
