At 100+ mph, that deployed airbag is about as good as a small trash bag filled with air.

Makes me never want to go that fast and pass people wrecklessly.

EVERYONE should see the pics,I think by not watching these pictures, you arent getting a true sense of life...theres life and there death..if you kept avoiding pictures like these, you are essentially censoring your life...

theres not always happiness and healthy life, there is another side to this fantasy we all live in... And i think in america it's clouded up, with the media not showing very graphic images about accidents, wars, everything...

Should we all look at gay porn too?
I do agree with you, but some people are just not suited for it.

That's terrible. I thought I had a good stomach, but the first picture churned it up.

Holy crap. I wasn't expecting anything that bad. That will keep me from speeding for a while.

For those who haven't looked at the photos, don't. The girl has half of her head shredded and the other half missing.

that comes out to 66750N = 1500Kg*44.7m/s
.....66,750 Newtons of force.....to show you just how much force this is, the e60 V-10 delivers just 520 Newton-metres..
I thought I should clarify that in the F=mA formula, the A represents acceleration (m/s^2). If she was driving at a contant 100mph then your calculation of the formula wouldn't work as the acceleration would be 0 or close to 0.

Its been way too many years since I've taken physics, but I think you calculated momentum (p=mv), where v = velocity.

Driv3er:

How did you calculate the a in f=ma????

your units are off. mph=kmh does not equal a. a = distance/time squared.

If you assume that the whole crunch took place in one second then your answer would be correct. If it took place in 1/2 second then you could double your number....

also the number you quote from the engine is a torque force x distance.

We're likely talking in the 150-200g range. 100mph to zero in a matter of inches.

Shows you how strong those tollbooths are. Probably built to withstand a hit from a semi.

Or it would be negative if she was standing on the brakes, or atleast, not accelerating anymore.
