thats what happens when you have 4 times the population of USA with less then half the land. Also it isn't that bad now a days. In the past 10 years India has come an unbelievable long way. India is going to be a super power in the years coming and MANY Americans will be shocked

People keep saying that, but as long as the cast systems there exist, I do not see it happening, they treat there own population horrible bad. One half of the country has no problem stepping on the the other half to get what they want. Yeah the US has some of the same bad behaviors but not as mass scale like India.

The best part the one in the upper classes do not see it as a problem and they deny it even exists anymore. But just go there and see how many people live on the streets and how the one with money treat them. Even Indians who come to the US and feel you are below them with try and treat you like crap or as if you are their servant.

I can guaranty you the ones on the top of the trains are consider lower class and expendable, ie there is no problem if they fall off.

FYI the caste system has been officially banned for a long time. But when you have a billion people the lower class tends to be large. Different regions of india also speak different languages, worship different gods, etc. It's an incredibly diverse population.

Over the last 10 years the number of rich Indians has grown, but the number of middle class Indians has grown even more. This suggests that a number of lower class Indians have found a better life. Things will get better there with time.

Amtrak is notorious for trains derailing, or at least seems so from the news.
