Just ordered the Incredible earlier today. I will be happy to drop-kick my Storm into the nearest trashcan once it comes in. Sucks that the Incredible is on backorder for the next few weeks!
For those of you that came from a blackberry, did you use BBM a lot? One thing that made me hesitant about droppping my storm is losing BBM. I am looking for a suitable replacement that has (1) push technology, (2) the ability to group/conference chat, and (3) stored messages that are delivered to your device when your phone is off or out of service (i guess this is really part of the push technology feature). My friends and i have not found any service that offers all three across any hardware platform. If we were all on android then i think gtalk would be the answer, but someof us are migtrating to android, some to iphone and some staying on berry. Anybody have any thoughts?

Yeah, I used BBM a lot but honestly, I was happy to sacrifice it for a phone that works. You will be happy too!

Yeah I've seen some of these apps but not sure how well they actually work yet. Another one that I have come across that is still in the works is http://www.hellomessenger.com, but again, it is still mostly under development it seems...
Either way, I'm excited about getting the Incredible!!

A friend of mine has the Incredible. The screen is absolutely unbelievable. I love my DROID, and will more than likely will be upgrading to another Android phone the next time. Like someone else here mentioned, it's so customizable it's hard to get tired of.

Yeah, the screen is definitely impressive. and I haven't even used it to its potential, there is so much customization, that each day I mess with it, i fgure something else out. Especially with all the different apps. I definitely am not going to get anything other than an Android phone. I'm so happy to be out of my blackberry. I definitely recommend the Incredible. But all of them are good. But the incredible's name is a pretty good description of the phone.

However, a lot of times if I click "My Location" it won't find me. But if I go directly into navigation it finds me. Regardless once out on the open road it's never failed me. Including automatically changing my route if I miss a turn/exit. |

I looked into that SlingPlayer Mobile thing, they said its probably going to cost $29 for the app AND you have to have a SlingPlayer box which is $180...fuck that, I'll wait for the Hulu app (if it ever comes out)

It was more of an anti-iphone thing: massively negative ratings.

I have no iPhone experience and got a Moto Droid at the beginning of the year. I'm quite happy with it. The only thing I don't like is: 1) battery life because I pull a lot of data and stuff and 2) the physical keyboard. Battery life is what it is with these types of phones, though. They have so much packed into them and you can do so much with them that shorter battery lives are kind of expected IMO. I think the keyboard on the Moto Cliq was pretty decent but that was about it. If they had that keyboard on the Droid, I'd be happy. I just use the virtual keyboard and I'm fine with that. I don't care about the directional button thing becuase I never use it.
I have a BB from work. Except for the keyboard, it's pretty bland compared to the Droid. I much prefer my Droid.

Apparently a limited number of early-production Droids had a much softer physical keyboard. I have hard keys...mediocre but still function and an overall great device.
