just started my first day last week and hate to say it but it sucked, getting up 5 in the morning to fill out papers and forms till 12pm (varsity soccer) then have practice
2:00-4:30 and then practice 6:30-9:00... all that with a bummed knee AND no drinking or smoking because of random drug and alcohol tests.

Yes, I still attend CSUN. This will be my last semester before I get my M.S. I also got my B.S. there as well. My first day starts today, class is at 7PM, haha.
When I started CSUN in Fall of '03, parking used to suck severely. You guys got it easier now with morning classes and parking. Over the years, I've noticed a lot of nice cars at CSUN. I've never heard of a BMW meet although there are/used to be E90post members who attend the university. A couple of years ago I saw William Hung walking over to his Gallardo. I thought it was pretty ironic how the butt of the joke such as Hung can capitalize on his 'no-talent'. |

First day of classes was unremarkable.
However my first day on campus saw my recently purchased '72 Beetle catch on fire in the Wendy's parking lot less than an hour after I got to town. Apparently the guy who had rebuilt the engine had crimped/cracked a fuel line. Amazing it didn't happen on the drive there..... Not something I'll likely forget.

Here you go, OP. If you don't have any friend at that campus, maybe you can kick it with these folks.

I loved it because I had some amazing memories with my friends and coworkers at the time, ie just kicking it until 2AM then hit up Denny's until 4AM, come home and nap. Wake up at 6AM, cram for a final that's at 9AM and pass it. My first 2 years or so, I kept myself pretty busy...from classes, work, the love interest at the time, and my friends. I became a study drone during the latter years to make up for the screwing up I've done. I'm with you on the frat thing. I'd only join if the frat would be beneficial, ie a business frat where they network with alumni and such. But the party frats, I never showed interest despite numerous friends inviting me to. Some of them picked up bad drug habits from their frat bros too. Class starts at 7, and I'm bored as hell in the library killing time on E90post. It feels like undergrad again, haha. |
