100% is almost impossible unless you have either one 100% disability or one very close and another also very high.
This is because when you stack issues, the percentage of each successive calculation is taken from the percentage points remaining. So for example, if you two 50% ratings to stack, you actually calculate 50% off your 100 points, and then 50% off of the remaining 50 (meaning two 50% disabilities equal a 75% rating). So if you're already at 90%, you'd have to stack a 50% to it to get to 95%, still not sure if it even rounds up at that point. That is how the VA rep explained it to me anyway. GL anyway though. I got out with severe bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel but I didn't get much of a rating, still waiting on seeing if they'll upgrade it since I have loss of sensation pretty frequently. Also got out with 5 herniated discs and a ligament in my ankle hanging on by a shred (estimated about 10%). And I was only in for seven years. Wish I had more useful information than that, but just wanted to wish you luck with the process and good luck adjusting to having your own life back for the first time in a long time. |

At least if you go to school full time, you can use the post-9/11 GI Bill and get a housing allowance too. |

Who? Me? Not sure what combat arms is, I do still have two of those, but that was not my MOS.

So, it's not what it was. Maybe it was a bit too good in the first place, but that yearly tuition cap (mind you they also still have a reasonable per-credit-hour cap) is what really frosts my ass. It will vary from state to state what effect that has on peoples' school plans, but here in Illinois if I'm going to a school who is near the per-credit-hour cap, it means I'll be limited to approximately two full time semesters per year now, and the rest will be out of pocket or I'll have to wait for the beginning of the next fiscal year. That's fucking bullshit if you ask me. Also, it's going to have significant impact in some states who have high tuition and no impact in states with low tuition, so it's just not a good modification to the bill, in the sense that it won't matter to some but will be a real hindrance to others. If you do go to school, my suggestion would be to go somewhere good, maybe take your payout in a lump sum depending on the amount so that you can go to a good school in a good major and fully concentrate on your studies. I don't know how much you got, or if you even want to do that, but if not, I do believe the post-9/11 GI Bill does payout for trade schools and maybe even certs (i.e. IT). It gives you a lot of options, and you have a lot of choices of how you'd like to apply it. Sucks about your hand though. I have the same problems in mine a lot, although probably not to the extent you do. At least now when you fap, it can always be "The Stranger". |

No bad jumps or anything like that. I kind of experienced an IED it hit the trailer I was pulling. Small arms fire was frequent though. Most general wear and tear though. My military mostly involved driving trucks and working in a warehouse (which is my job).
Nothing close to combat arms. I was supply. Quote:

But masturbation gives me the definition in my forearms that I need to impress the ladies in the first place, so it's kinda like a Catch-22. I think a 90 and a 30 stacked will give you 93%, and while it'd leave you in the 90% bracket, what exactly does the 100 offer that the 90 doesn't? I don't remember because when I was getting out and going through the process, they only brackets I thought I'd ever see would be around the 30% mark, so I didn't really look at the chart that high up. Either way, 90% is high as fuck. Getting up there does have a lot of perks and compensation (although I must admit the downpayment you make with your body may not ever be worth it). |

i know a lot of black men who aren't the hardest workers, but when it comes to working hard for getting benefits/perks, they will do anything. then again, i think that's just most folks who depart the military and not just lope

Well I will be moving to WA in the next month. There are a shit load of job postings out there so hopefully I land something quick. I'm not really a fan of not working when I can. Everybody keeps telling me to chill out and collect unemployment. Unemployment aint enough for me though. Civil Service (GS type jobs) has alot of postings though. Definitely try my luck though.
