that's interesting, i'm going to have to play with my 16-35 a bit more to make sure it's not a bad build. will have to print a few to be sure.

just FYI I used my 17-40 a little bit for video and it rocked. I still think it's so-so as a still lens (I had to stop it down to like F8 to get really sharp photos with it) but for video I loved it. So I'm going to keep it for now.
