I wish it wasn't so cold here right now, i might be able to get out and get a few shots today, but the brief time i spent outside today (walking girlfriends dogs) my face became chapped just because my eyes watered.

I know exactly what you're saying about camera bags too I'm at 2 at the moment, but i'm just not satisfied.
It could just be me. I have some shots I took to compare, but haven't gotten a chance to do the 'compare' part yet.

2? Rookie. I just picked up a Tenba Laptop Messanger (large) for travel. I was looking for something to carry 1-2 laptops (constrained by my 17" Vaio), camera body, and a couple lenses and still be able to stash it under a plane seat. This bag seems inconspicuous enough and seems like it'll do the job nicely. It also looks like I can still fit on some small MOLLE attachments on either side.

Psh...just had an eye exam 2 weeks ago. Prescription hasn't changed in several years, sir.

I was actually wondering if my 16-35L needed to be sent in.

You sure that bag doesn't exceed the weight limit for carryons?

I've heard that sometimes people get bad copies of the 16-35L, so I recommend getting that checked and maybe sent in for exchange/repair. Read the reviews on fred miranda.

that's interesting, i'm going to have to play with my 16-35 a bit more to make sure it's not a bad build. will have to print a few to be sure.

just FYI I used my 17-40 a little bit for video and it rocked. I still think it's so-so as a still lens (I had to stop it down to like F8 to get really sharp photos with it) but for video I loved it. So I'm going to keep it for now.

After competent processing there's hardly any difference, IME.
