Unbelievable. That storm must have been insane. Looks like 15-20 feet of storm surge all while temps stayed well below freezing. Those boats in the marina never stood a chance.

I sat atop my high perch yesterday and watched people try and navigate the Tollway through my window. It was fun.

I (stupidly) drove 1 mile to dinner last night and it sure was an adventure. Tire spin @ 8mph. Crossing an intersection and making a left turn was the best.

Im in denton and it is bad. I have the entire week vacation from work. Its like jail here. I was running low on food supplys and tried to go out and boy was it a mistake. I did not realize how bad RWD with UHP tires work on ice. Had to get back in my garage and call my sister in her FWD suzuki to get me grocerys.

Anybody else see that brave guy in the dune buggy towing stranded cars off of I35/loop 12. It was on channel 4 news. Dune buggy looked awesome with big ole tires.

I was standing out on my street today just watching the cars. Some people think they can drive normal and the car will work, well they were wrong, a lot of them got stuck on the curb due to the ice pulling the car to the curb. Some were going way to fast and started to spin, popped the curb and end up on the sidewalk. This guy in a chrysler 300 was going way to fast and went to turn right at the end of the street and the tires turned but the car went straight. Needless to say, he hit the curb hard and just barely avoided hitting the metal pole after the curb, he slammed it into reverse, came flying off the curb and continued on fast. I was just laughing at the way some of these people drive. Its crazy they think their car will work just fine like normal conditions on the 2 inches of solid ice.

Is that the "whatever, something" South hotel near DFW? AA always sticks me in that one when I get delayed overnight.

i've lived in dallas practically my entire life. it embarrasses me to say it, but we have some of the worst drivers nation wide. If the roads are even remotely bad, I refuse to drive for fear of people with no common sense. 2 inches of ice... forget about it. It's been a nice and relaxing 4 day's at home.
