Nice stuff! I did chuckle though at the out of focus pictures of the boxes....

I went and purchased a Canon rebel t2i hoping to get into photography as a hobby. Its been months, camera unused, have no time . May I ask how you learned to use all the functions of the canon rebel? Ive played with it couple times, theres just way too many options. |

mmmmm toys....
I like my 24-70 F2.8 a lot... and i don't think the second version of that lens will be available in the too near future due to the stuff going on in Japan, so be prepared to wait if you're determined to get it. |

Nice kit OP.
Love my 7D, but with those wide zooms I prefer my 5D MkII. Dave

At the 'fest, I take it and my long lenses to shoot the AX action. The 70-200mm is great for cars and portraits, on either the 7D or the 5D2. Dave

I've shot sports with the 5DmkII and the 7D (have both) you just have to anticipate the movement a little more, but it still works well.
the 7D has less trigger lag then the 5DII which is a little better for sports. but the DoF of the 5D adds a nice touch to the pictures. there's pros and cons of each, but all i know is that when i get into low light and am shooting sports, the 7D goes back in the bag. if a friend is standing beside me and wants to shoot, i set up the 7D for them in an easy way to use and let them fire away while i shoot with the 5D Depends on the types of sports you're going for, but if there's a defined course, there's no reason for choosing one over the other, but if you're shooting something like basketball, hockey, or football, it might get a little harder. Baseball is pretty easy to anticipate along with a lot of other sports too. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely a use for both cameras, and i wouldn't give up either unless i really really really wanted to spend 6 grand on a 1D, but it's just so big and bulky, and i can get 95% of the performance with 2 cameras, and still have 1500-2000$ left over to put towards other things. And i can have a friend shooting with my using my other camera, or have a backup for myself. even have an event sort of preplanned with one lens giving me a specific focal range, and the other giving me a prime or a different focal range to grab different details. |
