A Fawking Men. I was married for 21 years together for 24. My ex father in law used to pull shit like asking about my business and finances and then tell my ex wife he's got x number of dollars in his business account why don't you just spend what you want out of the household account. It got so bad she would just drain the joint account like thousands at a time. Right before she left, to move in with another guy who her dad knew, she took 20K out of savings and transferred to his account in Mexico. When we went thru the divorce I found out she had moved close to 90K in the last 18 months out of savings and other investments (forensic accountant the lawyer hired because nothing balanced) and nothing legally could be done about the cash as it was joint account. I still had to write a check for 426K the day the divorce was final(half of everything that was left of our assets). Never will marry again and everything is always seperate and equal between my girl and I, been together 7 years that way and it works just fine. Good example we went on a cruise total bill was a little over 9K that I charged she gave 4500 cash back.
