Fat usually means lazy, comfortable, easy. It takes a lot of work to WORK OUT, find food that is healthy, cook for yourself instead of paying 1 dollar for a pile of fat.
Dont expect to lose weight without dedication and effort. likewise, i hope bmw doesn't expect people to pay more for a wider car bc that would require effort too. |

If my F12 was 10% smaller (and lighter) it would still be my dream car and even more sporty and handy. And my body would still fit in

I was thinking something about the size of a e30 with a n54, dct, lsd, and some super tight and hugging seats.

Funny how this comes out right after the new (wider) 3-series is introduced.
There are plenty of good engineering reasons for widening cars. European cars have always been narrower than is either necessary or optimal for American roads. For decades European designers desperately tried to hold width below the 70" mark as if it were a line in the sand. Almost like the influence of Panamax on ship construction -- traditional, but absolutely pointless in the modern era. Now that BMW has firmly crossed that line with the 3-series, they suddenly feel a need to point a finger at American girth. Hmm. I smell fear of angry and terrified European drivers flocking to Fiats and Minis. Maybe we should ship them a few Camaros and Challengers to show them how wide a car should be. Still, the research on entry/egress, better buttons, etc, can only be a good thing. Isn't that what car companies are supposed to be doing?

European cars are (originally) designed to meet the demands in Europe. Anyone who has strived to find their way through the crowded back streets of Rome, Paris or London, not to mention the thousands of small towns throughout Europe built in the 16. -18. century thanks God he is driving a Fiat Abarth instead of being captain on a 70's Caddilac Eldorado or Oldsmobile Tornado

Extra firm seats to support the added weight, wider seats, etc available as options.

As someone who is 6'3" and 270lbs, I can vouch for the strength of the e92 seats! Build the seats stronger, by all means, but don't worry so much about wider, that's what adjustable bolsters are for.
