Would be interesting to see some graphs, I think that the rest of the world may be catching up as junk food becomes more readily available to the poor outside of the US.

Where food is abundant and money free-flowing, you'll have these issues. Also, our country is becoming less pedestrian. We have more roadways, parkways, highways and turnpikes caused by a lot of sprawl. We walk less and drive more. And we eat for recreation. We also eat before/after we eat....appetizers/desserts. Lol
