For personal use MacBook Pro 15", I love my Apple products. For work I have a basic Windows laptop. I know I can load Windows on to my Mac but I'd rather keep things on separate machines.

I dream of the day I could run Windows 7 through bootcamp fully optimized on a Macbook, but that will never happen.
My friend just returned his Macbook Pro with Retina, because in Windows he could only get 2 hours of battery life. Apparently the discrete GPU runs 100% full time in Windows. He get sweaty palms using it. I have no preference for either OS, but most of the work I need to do is under Windows. And whether you like to admit it or not, it is still a Windows world out there and will remain so for some time. In terms of making a living, it seems only artists (photo editors, musicians, etc.) can survive using only OS X, and there are not that many artists. I use both regularly. I have Windows 7 on my Vaio and OS X Mountain Lion on my Macbook Pro. I wouldn't compare them though because I use them for completely different things.

Well, it was moved so I guess I was right. I just wasn't trying to be a dick about it...
I responded on-topic to the thread as well.

I'm a Windows Network Administrator. Windows Server 2008R2, Exchange 2007, Active Directory. Windows, windows, windows!
I admin it all from a Mac Mini! You can have my Mac when you pry the Magic Track Pad from my cold dead fingers!

Unless you are really good with computers and very diligent then Mac is the way to go. If you are really good with computers then building a high end desktop running windows can be more efficient. On a laptop, Mac all the way. For 99% of users Mac should win hands down.

Mac.
You know what's interesting here? Most Mac users say Mac. Most PC users say PC and then for some reason need to justify their answer, or talk crap about the Mac.

I use and have both. Each serve their purpose.
I find the mac easier to use with daily personal stuff. But things like excel or other programs that I use.. I'm 100x faster on windows version of MS Excel 2007 vs. the crappy layout of MS 2008 Excel on Mac.

I just bought my first MacPro after dropping my bulletproof Lenovo, and in all honesty it's not that exciting, it's not all that different. Or maybe I'm just missing the point?
It does look sharp though!

You know what's interesting here? Most Mac users say Mac, but still need PC to do real work and make $$$.

It depends what you consider "real work". I've used my Mac for home and work with 0 problems, and no, I've never installed a VM to run Windows. Did I ever say that everyone needs a Mac? Nope. Why must people who do "real work" need to use a PC?
