Are you aware that this is a completely different model than the Quattroporte?

talking about exterior design, headlights, fender, etc...lazy design job. But maybe when Fiat went to Pinni earlier, they asked for a design that can be molded for 2 generations? I don't know...

I still don't feel like you understand that this and the Quattroporte are going to be sold concurrently. This is the third generation of the Ghibli (last produced in 1997), not the second generation or an LCI of the Quattroporte.
And couldn't the same be said for recent BMWs? The F30 looks like a "5 junior." Same with Audi - you just walk in and ask for a small, medium, or large. This Maserati is following the same thinking. It's a QP junior. Is it any lazier than this?

Here's what happen when you team up with Dodge, your 4 door sedan receives a name that used belong to a coupe.
But looks fantastic inside and out. The size is perfect also, the Quattroporte has become too big. |

Everyone posting an opinion that this looks anything like an Infiniti is fucking insane.
It's ugly as hell no matter how you look at it anyway.

My pet peeve is ignorant people calling cars literal copies off of one another. I don't know if you've been living under a rock, but if you haven't noticed, all cars go through trends. There's more intricacy involved with making the surfacing and detailing unique and homogenous to the brand. I don't think this is a successful design but it doesn't look like an Infiniti or an F30. It's uniquely wacky in a bad way imo.
And the joint headlight/grille trim is a styling trend that lots of cars have been doing. If anything this execution is closer to the Mazda 6's slim connected trimming, not like the F30's fully integrated housings.

This car is FAR from ugly and it looks phenomenal.
Once it makes it to the road, I'm certain opinions will change. Way to go, Maserati for keeping up the design language of the GranTurismo. The headlights remind me of a 458's, only tilted sideways. Pretty cool, actually. This car is the closest you can get to a Ferrari product at a reasonable price. It's going to sell well. |

that back end looks like sleeker VW passat at some angles and then an audi at other angles.
The car looks too similar to others already out in the market.
