Why do people in America need a gun in their car? Is it that dangerous, that you need to shoot someone?

Better to have one and not need it, than need it and not have one.

Not at all, 99.8% of the population would never think to carry a gun in the glove box. Keeping one at home for protection is a different matter

Yeah, it takes too long to reach over to get it . *MUCH* more convenient to keep it on the driver's side of the transmission tunnel.

In the glove box? A Bible.

You people slay me. A strong young man, a solder in fact, meaning a man capable of defending himself; was hacked to death in the middle of the street in a country that is supposed to be MUCH safer than America. It took responders 20 minutes.... 20 MINUTES to get to the scene.

I carry a gun because I can, it's my right to protect myself, my family and innocent people on the street from those who are intent on harming people.

Feel free to depend on the police, who if you haven't figured out, respond to crimes for your protection.

He was first hit with a car, so having a gun wouldn't really help, but, my comment was meant as a joke, as sarcasm to some other threads, relax.
i understand your justifications in carrying a small gun for protection, although i probably wouldnt do it (i do carry a small knife with me). what i dont understand is the number of automatic guns and amount of ammo you guys show off in the show your gun collection thread. for that i dont understand the use nor support the right!

First, start another thread.

Second, educate yourself. There has not been one picture posed of an automatic weapon in either firearm thread in this forum. BTW, would the responders arrived sooner if he hasn't been hit by a car? I figured the BOLDED ALL CAPS portion would have emphasized the key part of the post.

I like this as well, it's nice not having anything rolling around in there. I like a completely empty trunk and back seat too!

A KA-Bar (12" knife used by Marines for those who don't know), registration/insurance, hand sanitizer, and some random papers I forgot what they are. I used to keep my 9mm pistol in there when I lived in Orlando, but since NY doesn't allow anything, it stays in another state.

I dont keep it there while driving, i either keep it in the door or on the pass seat.

I feel the need to carry a gun because it is my right and if i ever need to defend myself or family id rather be safe than sorry

I keep a life-hammer in mine. Aside from that it's just paperwork and my iPod classic (Audi hookup is in the glove box).

hey, for some reason, my iPod classic can't be recognized when I connect it to the USB port in the glove box... or the port in the arm rest for that matter. what's your secret! ?! The iPod touch I have works fine, but once in a while I like to listen to my original iPod so if you can tell me how you do it, I would really appreciate it.

Sorry for the thread jack op.... don't shoot!!! lol
