Not hating on the GTR I think its an awesome car, but if they are doing the "Worlds Greatest Drag Race" regardless of the vehicle class of vehicle cost I think they missed some of the GTR's rivals........ZR1, Z06, mp4-12c, Aventador and the list goes on. Just my opinion.

Meh...I would still take a used Porsche 911 Turbo S any day over the GT-R.

Based on the trap speeds, it looks like the SLS and the Viper were poised to overtake the GT-R if it were a longer drag race.
In any case, the "hate" isn't on the GT-R at all. I think most of us would practically worship the car if we owned it, haha. It's more specifically against Infiniti G-series drivers. The vast majority of them are perfectly fine. There will always be a few bad apples out there though (for any car).

In reality, if the GT-R ran into a SLS Black Series, the BS would make the GT-R look like its going backwards at anything above 40mph. Actually the regular SLS would run away and hide. Same with the Viper.
The GT-R is a great car but let's not call it undefeatable. |

First of all an m5 would hold it's own. Second of all anyone can mod the shit out of a big engine and throw two turbos on it.. And yes I know the m5 is the same thing but the v6 is the gtr is just modded. Btw why are you on a bmw forum trying to prove a point about your love for a ricer you'll never have? And infinity? Is that a joke?

The M5/M6 is more luxury and way more comfortable and I was an E30 driver, an E36 driver and now an E90 driver but all in all I am an Auto Enthusiast and not blinded by that BMW logo on my hood. The GTR is one of the best cars in the world atleast give it respect.. All the cars in this test were factory built not modded. Modded they double there power with ease.

In the real competition, for Best Driver's Car, the GTR was beast by the: Cayman S, Jaguar, R8, SLS, and 911 4S... in that order.
GTR is nice but but I don't like the looks and the interior is crap. If I had $100,000 to spend on a car, I'd get a used 911 Turbo or Ferrari F430. |

Me thinks
Take away the sophisticated launch control and all-wheel drive or add it to the other cars that lack it and I think the GTR might finish 4th. There are a few cars there with better power/weight ratios than the GTR. Still I will park the 335 in the driveway and garage the GTR if someone here will buy one for me

At the end of the day a used modded WRX wagon would cost under 30k and be more practical and faster than all of these cars. Production power numbers are a fools game.

I do think it is crap for the price you have to pay. It's a $100,000 car and has a worse interior than my $45,000 328i. I'm sure the materials are top quality, but I just don't like the style/layout at all. This is all just my opinion. The car is a technological feat of engineering when it comes to its speed. I'd love to pick a used one up for ~$65,000 if I had the $$$ just don't think it's worth $100,000 new. Never been in one but have seen multiple ones up close. |

Seriously though comments like these are idiotic. ANY GTR interior is better than ANY E9X interior. Simple as that. |
