0-60 in 2 second flat sounds about right...wait WHAT??? I can't even get it from P to D in 2 seconds and he's already at 60? It's gonna be insane.
BTW, any tuners out there that can get the current gtr to 60 in 2? If not then this is quite a big feat for Nissan especially for a mass production car.

0-60 in 2 seconds. beast mode.
I just wonder how much it's going to cost. I'm guessing $160k-170k?

Don't blow your wads just yet...there is no mention of it doing two seconds flat. Besides, it actually says the tweaks to the new model will give it "potential to lower the car's 0-to-62-mph time to just two seconds." I'll interpret that as there is a chance it will be able to do it with a 2-handle, up to and including 2.99 seconds.
To put a 2-second flat 0-60 MPH into perspective, that equates to a roughly 1.33-1.35 60' time at a drag strip. John Shepard's Eagle Talon had 60' times of 1.33-1.34 60' when it was running high-7s in the 1/4 mile. |

I don't see a 2-sec 0-60. They would have to drop major weight and run slicks to pull that off.

Quoted for truth.
And yes, re the 0-60 time, the current one I believe has tested at 2.5 so I could see this one shaving a tenth or two off. It's a mini-Veyron but 2-flat might be an exaggeration. Going to be frightening when the old ones become cheap enough for young kids to hoon around in. |

Not into street racing, but I saw the current generation completely destroy and humiliate a CTS-V at a red light. Anything quicker should be illegal.
All joking aside, does anyone know if Nissan is going to be making an Infiniti variant of the GTR? I feel it would be great for the brand in the way the R8 has been for Audi. Infiniti in my eyes has the q50 and nothing else. I feel a car like that would bring some more interest and make the brand more desirable. |

My friend had a GTR, sold it, and now just picked up a brand new one with less than 600 miles on it. It just had the Boost Logic 640 package installed.
I cannot explain to you have brutal this car is. Does it sound like it's falling apart at all times? Sure. You hear every single move/turn/engage/rotate in this car. The worst WORST daily driver in the world. But man, you have to respect it. |

Nissan is getting carried away with that claim. Even on a treated surface with semi slicks, I don't see flat 2 seconds as possible. Nissan, prove me wrong

The other day I saw a GTR driving down the freeway with vanity plates that said "ATE TKYO"
If I won the lottery, a GTR would be ONE of the multiple cars I'd buy.
