The Alpina was something else. They used to be regarded as an old mans car, but since they updated the interiors instead of using the same old SE boring ass spec they are much nicer.

Love the channel, dose of humor makes it is very entertaining. Plus I appreciate the attention to detail and doing things right.
Noticed mention of 5w-50 with the brand omitted quite a lot of times in both the E39 and E60 episodes. Can you share what you have tried or settled on? That said, really looking forward to project Frankfurt esp rebuilding the S65. Highly considering doing the same/similar thing and acquiring a blown (hopefully not a main) E92 M3 for a project, likely a racecar.

It does, there are several parts on these cars where Alpina took an already existing part from BMW and stamped their name on it. This is a heck of a nice car for anyone that's open to a motor build project, I'd try to get that price closer to 4K though.

Most definitely, crankshaft is too. I still say that's a hell of a deal for that car as long as you're handy with a wrench and have the budget. These things are monster cars. Ad says it has a freshly rebuilt supercharger too. I'd want to see the CARFAX on it.

My point is - a short block includes pistons, crank, etc. The advert says the alpina uses a stock BMW short block....but then goes on to say that you need to swap everything into said short block. Meh. Whatever. I'm not buying it anyhow!

He just brought a Maserati, just to try something new. Expect a video on that soon.
