We are still on the plus side, actually way above it for late October.

A hour short of midnight and it's still above 60°F.

Still cool, in the mid to upper 70s for the next couple days. Santa Ana winds are coming. These are dry winds that raise red flags for fire danger, plus temps will increase by 10° or so for next week.

Out early for my run. An unusual warm day for late October and back to freezing and possible snow tomorrow and Monday.

Looks like summer is over here as well. Yesterday's high was just shy of 80 F, and we'll be lucky to see 50 F with rain here today.

Meanwhile, it is currently 64 F and sunny down at our tree farm in SC, with a forecast high of 84 F today. There is a mid-week dip with highs only in the mid-50's F forecast, before highs return to around 70 F late in the week.....

It has started but I don't think it will stay on the ground for long since they are forecasting 10°C by Wednesday.

We have experienced a 40+ Degrees drop in less than 48hrs....

In Colorado, that's just fall!

When I checked the temperature here in Chicago about 9:00 AM it was 36. In Lubbock, where I grew up and my sister lives, it was 33. That doesn’t happen too often.

My wife and I were stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo many years ago. We got about an inch of snow one night and you would think we had just witnessed the apocalypse! Texans aren't engineered to deal with snow.

Colorado isn't surpring though. I expect extreme temperature swings.
hehe in TEXAS however, this is very rare. But... I will take the cooler Temps! We were Roasted all Summer with record breaking Heat!
I don't mind the cold temps. Just keep the Snow and Ice away.

Not to go too far off topic. I was an Army electronic warfare signals intelligence analyst and I was stationed for training at Goodfellow twice.

That airplane is a Canadian made DeHavilland Otter and the picture was taken in Vietnam in 1967 at the Hue Citadel airfield.

U1 was the ASI awarded for completion of the Enciphered Communications Analysis Course. I also held ASIs M7 and K2.

Weather for Halloween will be relatively comfortable following the 8 inches of snow and temps in the teens we just had.
