a lot of 10, some Uigeadail and Corryvreckan? The Drum is fantastic (to me) but it looks like you're missing the newer Wee Beastie and Blaaack offerings. The Blaaack is also quite fantastic.

Yes, that is 6 of the 10yo and 4 of the Corryvreckan. I have not gotten to try those other 2, but will keep an eye out for them; the 'Grooves' is new to try this run. I do like the younger versions many times (the lagavulin 8yo is very nice), so I'd already been interested in the Wee Beastie.

Oh, the grooves looks a lot like the drum at a quick glance. I have not had that one.

Hawk - have you had any of Cedar Ridge's "normal" stuff? If so, how'd you find it?

I have had all of their normal stuff and it is just ok, you can definitely get better for the price points. I dislike their normal Rye, and I am a rye person.

Most of their special releases and collaborations are much better. They are releasing a bottled in bond this weekend for the second year, and last years was great. I am going to try and get a bottle of that. This port finished rye (Cedar Ridge was a winery well before they started into spirits so they use their own port casks) and the sir maple are a few of the more interesting ones lately. They also do a lot of experimental "silver labels" which are hit or miss like most places experimenting. Their cask strengths, store picks, BiB are usually pretty solid and worth the $$.

If you want samples or anything hit me up in a PM.

Found the Wee Beastie yesterday while grabbing some 'Murcia cookies. Can definitely tell it's younger, I'll have to revisit as am not sure it's worth the $54 at this point (similar price as the ten year)

And you became a cop. I feel reasonably certain, despite not knowing either of you, that in the fork in the road that separated you two...you took the wrong path, and he the right one!

I have not, these were smoked with my friend who bought a box for himself for his 60th. A very nice smoke indeed.

For me it would be Rittenhouse hands down. Cheaper and I enjoy it more.

I like a good Perdomo, but my go-to sticks lately have been Mi Quirda and Animal Crackers.

So I tried Rittenhouse yesterday and didn’t like it. Felt that there was too much alcohol and too spicy of a rye to really like.
