Since I'm in the country now, I was looking at a Springfield XD or a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm as they're recommended for n00b gun owners. I haven't fired a gun in over a decade so I'll start with the basics.

I never cared for the way Springfields felt in my hand. The S&W is a nice gun. I wanted one before I purchased the Glock. I highly recommend a Glock. Damn thing runs no matter what you throw at it.
