Thanks, Chewy. I'm lovin' the ND filter stacked with the CPL.

CPL on the lens, ND on the CPL. Not sure it makes a diff, but I thought it might be better to have a constant light level hitting the CPL rather than a variable light level hitting the ND. I'm no physics major, so I have no idea if it even matters.

I just wish the lens cap would stay on the ND filter better. The slightest tap knocks it off. I probably need an aftermarket center pinch lens cap.

One more. This was after the sun dropped below the horizon.

I'd settle for just making it past the front range of the rockies.
the entire west side of the country is so beautiful.... except for LA. |

It was just me, haha. The portion of the Filet Mignon could have been smaller.

Silos at Sunset
Not to many more opportunities for this kind of image on my commute. Starting next week I'll be driving home in the dark.

Actually for a bit it will be much lighter in the morning. The change will also ruin my chance to get misty morning shots as the sun will have been up longer by the time I leave the house, so the fog will be burned off already.

Same here. Not even decent scenery here in winter. At least back in New England you could find snow covered mountains and such. Here it's just flat and white. The filters will get a good workout this winter. Just ordered an ND Grad today. I figure I'll need it when we head out to Vegas over the Thanksgiving break. Can't wait for that.
