Just pointing out that when you think it is "Euro" or special to delete it, that that is the reason most do it. And that most manufacturers over here offer the option.

Cars with proper engines are typically still badged over here--while diesel 4 pots are debadged.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking at the X5 (previous page) and noticed that the X5 and the X5M's have completely different X5 badges. On the ///M, the X seems thicker. Also the X5 and the ///M badge are the same height, compared to the fake tacked on ///M.

2 on the morning commute. Ok, BMW is not fake badge but horrid looking ///Ebay m mirror caps on an 118i. At least the AMG badge is straight…somewhat.

No, the original photo is from a first-gen F26 X4, where it had its badge placement like this, so this was not a fake badge.
