Its mostly 30-40yo people, then me at 24 there, so it's not like the typical "my tire pressures were low" sorta group.

There's usually something going on every weekend too so it's not a "once in a blue moon you make it or you miss it" deal either

Jeez. I go to downer's grove like once a week atleast (even though I live far away). Haha

I'm down for the meet up but I don't have FB unfortunately. And yes. I'm older than you too!

My family used to do the same thing on Fridays. I assumed that the tradition started as a result of WW-II rationing, and many families continued to follow it even after the war ended. It probably also explains why I don't eat fish/seafood any more, with the exception of a rare tuna salad sandwich.

Boiled egg with Hollandaise over wilted Friseé salad and Rösti potatoes. Garnished with smoked salmon, dill, capers and onion. Dynamite combination fusing Swiss, French and American cuisines.
