Well done Chewy.
That strong back light and water sparkle made for a tough exposure.

Cleanest, great eyelight with both kittens. Too many people forget to go for that, particularly with animals.
Abbey looks underexposed to me, but you seem to have added a lot of vignetting that makes it seem dark. If your not shooting RAW, then consider trying it. If you'll Expose To The Right (right of the histogram) and then pull the level down in RAW conversion, you'll get less noise, higher dynamic range and better colors. In-camera jpeg limit your camera's capacity. The in-camera jpeg of this coyote hunting looks washed out an flat, but this RAW conversion, with Contrast raise, S-curve applied to RGB curve and a little added Vibrance really pops: Coyote hunting in evening sun by dcstep, on Flickr

Nice shot, Chewy. Looks like some pretty sizable rollers out past the boat.
Cleanest, the new shot is better. Cute cats. Shame they don't stay that small and cute.

Probably a popular name for that type of boat. Clever, though.

AI Servo on the 135L and 5D2. I don't use it too much and really need to practice more with moving subjects. I made a pretty exciting purchase today. It fits snugly in this little case: photo(7) by mkrepp, on Flickr Constantly drooling over Dave's wildlife photos has just cost me a bit of money. |

Wow, that's a bigger lens than I had pictured in my mind. Sweet, though. Looking forward to some pics.
