James May is still doing good TV. I recently watched some his toy-based stuff and enjoyed them.
I finished up The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel last week. It felt as though they rushed to get to the finish line in the last season. Even so there were a couple of really good episodes. It's definitely not a series for everyone but I laughed quite a bit. There are almost no unfunny lines; everything they say is trying to be a joke. Relentless. I'm going back through the Harry Potter movies again currently. The acting really is as bad as I remembered, and the story lines still jump around or else wander like a drunk, but this time through I'm able to pick up more of the overall thread. |

Rewatching Better Call Saul now. Can't recommend it enough, and still great even when I know what happens to everybody

I am NOT in the least bit surprised.
I watched the very first episode with an open mind. It is pure garbage. The very dark direction the producers and Director decided to go is simply NOT appealing nor entertaining. I read a very interesting article somewhere recently about this. I believe it was Rolling Stone, about how there had to be multiple reshoots and how staff were "very uncomfortable" with certain requests and scenes. But even without all of the controversy, it is trying too hard to be "controversial". Good riddance...

We started watching Sons of Anarchy last week and are done the first 2 seasons. My wife is really enjoying it, I watched it a few years ago. It's on pause while we catch up on the new releases. |

Finally, something decent to watch:
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities

I'm now on episode 3. It's a slow burn but just enough is happening to keep me engaged. This show has potential, fingers crossed they don't ruin it. Which episode are you on now? Without spoilers what are your thoughts?

I didn't think the latest season of Black Mirror was THAT bad... Just glad to see them put something out after all these years.
I liked Unprisoned, especially the full frontal view of Sue Ellen Mischke from Seinfeld. |

If any of you are into sports like F1, Golf, Tennis, or Cycling there are some entertaining shows/documentaries on Netflix.
F1: Formula 1: Drive to Survive Golf: Full Swing Tennis: Break Point Cycling: Tour de France: Unchained I think they all were pretty good.

It picks up but now I'm committed with so much time watching. Si much more potential. The added Drama from the Asian girl and the New York wife/mom, has annoyed me. |

I'm just now getting back to Apple TV+. I started watching it early on (2020) and there just wasn't enough programming at the time so I put it down. They've clearly ramped up so I'm back. Seems to have some decent content. I recently finished The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. It was solid. Looking forward to exploring other content on the platform. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
