Ynguldyn, I have read different reports about the i4 with regards to 4x4. Do you know if the first version of the i4, the 500+ hp one will be xDrive?

I will be surprised if there's just one specific version of i4 at intro. But the 500hp one should definitely have a dual motor setup.

Sounds like we don't have any information about G82 M4 CS timing, right?

Yes, at least initially. But BMW always expands European model range after the initial introduction, so a RWD 430d is still possible later.

I guess it got moved to the next release window after I last checked this specific model. It happens.

German AutoBILD wrote today that BMW confirmed to them that the M2 and M2 CS will be discontinued in europe this fall, due to emission regulations. Will continue to be built for ROW.

Any news/update or updated SOP on the 320e/520e? Is the 320e still on track for a 7/2020 start, seeing how that got left out of the mid-year misc updates press release?

The X5/X7 50i models are gone for MY2021. So we can bid adieu to the N63M3 engine, at least in the US (not sure if it will continue production for use in other countries). Farewell - we barely knew you.

We'll soon know if that leaves the N63T3 as the last iteration ever and final non-M V8 engine, or if they plan to upgrade it to mild or plug-in hybrid and allow it soldier on for another generation or more.

Any update on the G87 coming in 2023? Haven't even seen first glimpses of it testing in Germany. Usually when we have first sightings the vehicle is about 3 years out...

It appears the RWD M440i has been pushed back to March 2021.

Is the G29 LCI SOP still scheduled for July 2022? I no longer see it on the front page.

Any source information on this? Would love to read up on what they are planning.

See the top post introduction for that, in short: no public source.

The SONOS partnership is interesting, curious to see what comes out of it. SONOS isn't exactly known for their sound quality, better than average for casual listener, but they're known for their software so it will be interesting to see what they bring to the table.

They put out good quality for a small package so hoping that works well in the auto industry.... seems like it should be a good fit.

I just don't see what they can provide for car audio in the auto industry since their expertise is multi-room audio and that's largely done through their excellent software. I don't see how this can play a part in cars.

But still interested to see what comes out of this collaboration.

I'm not a true audiophile but do agree their main market strategy was the software. I have some B&W 600series towers etc for home theatre which are great, but still impressed by the sound range produced by the Sonos 5 speakers as well, just as good as any Bose stuff I've ever heard and I was only mildly impressed by Harmon Kardon in my F80.. the B&O in my M6GC has definitely been the best. Seems like sonos would sit closer to the HK or maybe between the two?

Like you said, will have to wait and see... definitely interesting nonetheless.

They will end up the 8 Series?
Including the GranCoupe?

They should have call it 6 and keep the same price range.
The Cabrio is too expensive and not very practical.
The Coupe is big, again not practical as only a masochist will seat in that rear seat.
The Gran Coupe is really beautiful, awesome car but victim of corporative greediness.

Still want to know if they will stop production for the 8 Gran Coupe.
If someone has more info, please share
