As a NY'er we take our deli meat seriously. So my sandwich commentary should not be taken lightly.
Ok, first the sandwich does not have enough meat. I mean it's close but the two sides of bread should never be taller than in inside portions of the sandwich. Forgo the usual mayo BS. go exciting. maybe get some sriracha mayo. In the end game its all about flavor. Even a nice gray poupon mustard will be better than the usual yellow shit. More green. Some think the sandwich is all about meat and cheese, but greens have a role as well. They help in facilitating more salivation and help spread the flavor of the food you are eating across more taste buds and allow for more encompassing sensation of flavors. At this point your sandwich is good but don't stop there. Do some thing out side the box man! There are so many deli spots in NYC that they have to stand out from one another. And as a consumer i win because i get highly creative culinary lunches every time i step in to a non franchise based deli. So try something new every time you order or make a sandwich.....! PS. strawberries in sandwiches are the shit.

Hehe... I wasn't. I was trolling. I love NY and New Yorkers. Some of my favorite people (except when they flood into South Florida - otherwise though, we cool).

It was pretty good for $8, in CALI. Granted, he never asked me a question other than "You want chips or a salad with that?" So I was surprised when I got to work. And the green was spinach, so that was different. If I happen into Subway, I always go mayo on the bread, siracha in the middle. And Oxnard is home to the Strawberry Festival, so I know a thing about wild strawberry shit. Strawberry salsa, in the right hands, is |

Tomorrow's lunch will be corned beef and cabbage, although I have to do it with a crock pot instead of dutch oven.
