NBA is turning into a pseudo two-tiered league IMO...there are teams that are taking the identity "feeder" teams to hold and develop talent until they leave for a larger market and more money than the current team can afford at free agency

He wasn't a HOF player
All time rebounds 21st, very low PPG (under 10) and FG%... Also him before Reggie Miller? Last edited by BTM; 02-23-2011 at 06:02 PM.. |

it's not always straight-up numbers that matter. rodman's physicality, hustle, and ability to embarrass players 6+ inches taller than him in the paint make him HoF worthy (at least for consideration). but if you really want to count numbers, he's a 2x DPoY and a 7x rebounding champ (2nd only to wilt)

Sure he was big but Shawn Kemp would clown him every chance he got, his production is below par of other top rebounder's, and his hustle was tainted by his drinking. 7.3 pts per game? Come on...and aside from rebounding, MJ and Pippen were the defense of those Bulls teams. He was a great player, but a rebounding specialist and that's about it. I'm just not sure how the 21st best rebounder in NBA history is more HOF worthy than the 14th best scorer in NBA history...

I'll revise this a little bit. I can understand Dennis Rodman being on the ballot, but I can't understand him being on the ballot before Reggie Miller is on the ballot |

Reggie Miller's numbers are far off his peers. His career 3 pt numbers are good, but PPG were not, 3pt % were not, and he was only GREAT for a few years.
He also never won a Championship, which matters. It is the BASKETBALL HOF fyi. Rodman was an elite defender who could defend multiple positions.

Points leaders 9 Olajuwon 11 Wilkins 14 Miller 16 Ewing 18 Barkley I'm sorry, I just won't accept that 21st in rebounds is more important than 14th in points leaders, regardless of championships. Especially when there are rebounders higher up the list with more PPG who are also not HOFers. Reggie was the difference between the Pacer's being a threat and not. Rodman was not even close to that status. Pippen was the best defender on the Bulls, not Rodman Last edited by BTM; 02-23-2011 at 08:20 PM.. |

Jordan retired in 03, Rodman in 06, and Miller 05. How Rodman gets a nod before Miller is completely beyond me |

I hate miller. I hope he dies. I was at that game when he hit that shot against the Knicks in the playoffs.

Nice video wow. Anyways I want to bring up something that no one has. The knicks had two problems (maybe more) , no real center (amare is a PF) and shit defense. Yet with the trade obviously they didn't do anything to help those two points. Yes they got Carmelo , he's a stud , BUT did you know the knicks are second in the league in scoring? So why add another scorer? Obviously scoring is not the problem , it's lack of size at center , and horrible defense. Why not keep the solid pieces they had and continue to build a better defensive squad around amare? That's just my look on it.
