Yeah, the gold old quad load. You need a special belt/holder and quite a bit of practice to pull it off that quickly/well (modified carrier helps too). I load like that out of the box at the range, but never in a competition or using a special shell holder. Glad to see my Benelli M4 make another appearance in the movie too, made it my favorite scene in JW3.

+1.....I mean if he is just now admitting that he's pissed off and it's already Chapter 3, I hate to think what is next.

Spiderma Far From Home.
Although the franchise has significantly improved with the last 2 films, it remains my least favorite character and film in the MARVEL Universe. it's literally geared towards kids IMO. |

Saw “Rambo Last Blood” this evening - it was very entertaining.
Still not as good as Rambo I & II, but better than the last couple of releases. |

As Astra: The first hour was very good, the last hour was kind of lame. Great special effects, but the story kind of petered out.
If you like lunar surface battles, I'm wondering whyHeinelens "the cat who walks through walls" hasn't been made into a movie. Much better material than the script provided for this movie. Overall, Similar to gravity and interstellar, but not as good. |

FINALLY saw John Wick 3. While I liked it overall and look forward to a 4th (which would hopefully be the final).....did anyone else think a lot of the hand/hand combat scenes were slowed down? I know dramatic pause is used (certainly in JW2) at times but it seems that Keanu was just moving slow for entire sequences.

Anyone seen Ad Asstra? I haven't but from what I've heard, it's like Apocalypse Now but in space. The beef is that it's too much of a carbon copy. I think most directors should learn by now that these kind of movies are very different to pull off. Most of the time, they all end up in a bunch of mumbo jumbo philosophical mess. The movie landscape has been littered with these kinds of movies. The most recent example was Interstellar. The most successful of these type of movie probably is Stanley Kubrick 2001, but the problem is there is only one Stanley Kubrick and of course Ad Asstra director is no Kubrick :-) And even then, 2001 wasn't that well received when it came out and only got appreciated eventually by the silicon valley generation.
Gravity and The Martian worked because those movies know to stay away from the so called let-me-teach-you-a-lesson pit(t) fall but just simply try to entertain. Although there is a bit of a lesson in Gravity but it is so well hidden and subtle that only those who cared would realized. That is the mark of a good movie. Even if you don't care, you get entertained anyway. If you care, you'll get something to chew on while driving home. |
