Apparently someone is not handling all the stress, that jockeying a cash register at a gas station brings.


Your story of the neighbor in the townhouse reminds me of my townhouse days. I moved in to my first town house and met my second wife during this time. The amount of sex had after would rival the casting couch....I don't feel like I have to explain what this to most of you. They guy that lived next door let me know about 2 weeks in how uninsulated the walls really were by yelling at us mid-throw of passion "YEAAAHH, get it son!!! Make her scream my name too!!!" We both lost it laughing our asses off. Just for a laugh I had her screaming "JEFF!" We could hear him dying laughing. Six months later Jeff moves out and single mother of 2 moves in his place. She heard the sounds of our rigorous love-makery one fine evening and decides to bang on the wall. Being quasi-good neighbors we quietened down, but apparently she could still hear us. This was all prior to us getting married. Her and I took a break for a while and one evening I was grilling on the back deck while the neighbor lady was having some wine. Liquid courage gave her just enough gal to ask about all the noise and sex. Rather than turn this into a post that should be in the dating thread, I'll just end it with....yes.

Thankfully, my walls are not THAT thin. Will have to have my lady friend yell into her wall anyway, though.

Thank you sir. I appreciate that. Definitely not the norm for me. When someone is an ass to me, I usually go for the jugular. Perhaps I'm getting old or I just don't give a shit enough to give it back to them anymore. I suppose in my age, I'm adapting to the mentality of "An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind."

Hang a one pound weight on the handle of your wrench, exactly 5.3 inches from the center of the screw?

Lacking either tool, my go-to rule for fasteners is to tighten them enough so they don't fall out...but not so tight that they will never come out again.

I don't have a micro-torque wrench handy, but would go with fingertips only on a large diameter screwdriver handle as a safe substitution. Of course, I need to point out that my aged hands bought the computer pre-assembled with the i9 processor....

I'm sure you figured it out by now but just tighten it enough where you can't do it without applying excessive force. If you can lift the whole assembly up by the cooler and nothing feels wiggly you'll be fine!

/I did find a tool though, will update how that goes.

Yeah, I just torque it down enough so that it doesn’t turn/slide and is making good contact with the TIM. Tighten in a pattern like you would a wheel on a car - upper right to lower left, lower right to upper left, etc so you’re making sure pressure is applied evenly.

vreihen16 Software is called BetterTouchTool, I was able to get everything I want on here. I also needed to move around the buttons; the BMW Logo/Pickle doesn't do anything (yet). I'm thinking of maybe putting a currency rate there but we'll see - I might end up moving my BTC ticker on the menu bar up top down here. Also could keep that and change it into a button to do something but I don't know if I need anything else. The emoji part also scrolls, and the weather part updates based on location.

But yeah if you want to customize it definitely give it a shot. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is the Apple icons, the eyes are for the keyboard backlight, lock locks the screen, the frame is for screenshot. The installed icon pack looks okay, but ideally I'd want actual Apple icons.

I sold it as "I'll be locked down with you for at least a month (I have vacation in April and am only working the first six days), and it'll give me something to do and keep me out of your hair and in the garage."
