Good movie. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Emma Watson as Belle was a great cast.
The whole gay agenda thing didn't come off that blatantly- more for humorous effects. One thing I wish they had paid more attention to was the the ballroom dance scene. That was a pivotal point in the movie and should have had more pop/wow factor. It was average compared to the rest of the singing scenes. |

I think the ticket price is offensive and objectionable! So I'll take my seat over on the losers bench now

I really enjoyed this movie. I thought the visuals were fantastic.
Before, I was definitely in the camp that thought the "gay" character was unnecessary for a children's movie, but after watching I'm convinced it was a fabricated controversy for publicity. It was extremely subtle, and had it not been a talking point, I would have glossed over the character as a goofy, effeminate Frenchman. |

It`s a bit strange for me to hear grown men discussing a Disney movie, but ... I grew up with the classic animation so hearing that Disney was doing a remake made me think about every time Hollywood killed the magic with its remakes. Sadly for, apparently, never really liked Emma ... her acting always reminded me of a bored waitress trying to fake a little compassion at a chocking customer at the end of her long shift.
Love Luke Evans, liked him as Gaston ... but Belle ... wasn`t probably my enchanting Belle.. As for the Beast, well he was hot - till the moment he turned to Dan Stevens. Tons of visual effects, lack of French spirit (and men), a feminist with the acting capabilities and movements like a piece of dead wood. I wonder if it wasn`t for the massive marketing campaign for more than an year, would the movie be so "successful" ?? My niece hated the way Chip and Mrs Potts were created ...
