  • I would go with the black interior, but I would suggest going leather if you insist on oyster. I have seen a friends wife car with oyster, not leather and it really shows damage if not you are very careful. On the other side, leather can withstand everything with minimal maintenance.

Below my setup, aluminum mesh with black leather.
That ambient lighting must look really nice reflecting off the aluminum.

can't I just go to the zoo and borrow a couple of koala bears? they can sit in my car and lick the eucalyptus wood clean... assuming it's real eucalyptus.

The piano black trim is a nightmare. I find myself removing the DUST and fingerprints it attracts daily. Wish I had customized my vehicle better. FWIW

my friend had the black piano trim wrapped with clear PPF. it looked great and no longer attracted fingerprints... also prevents scratches that show up easily on black polished surface. that was about 2 years ago and the black parts still look brand new. videos below show the 750i and M3

So I've ordered my new 2025 X1 - but I still have a week to make changes before it goes into production. Right now I went for the Phytonic Blue with the Black Perforated interior and the Aluminum Mesh Effect Trim.

I'm looking for some feedback on two things: the interior color and the trim (as I do like my exterior paint color.)

The guy at the dealership told me that black interior shows less marks, spills, etc than the Oyster interior (makes sense.) But I'm wondering what people's experience is with Oyster and stains, etc. My current car has had black leather seats so I'm used to black inside. I'm also wondering if Oyster might complement an outer blue color better than black.

And, I'm wondering about the Aluminum Mesh Effect trim. My options are that, Black High Gloss or the Eucalyptus Fine Wood. I was thinking that if the interior was black, black trim might be TOO much black so I opted for the Aluminum for a bit of silver inside. The wood is a bit interesting but I'm not sure how good it looks.

Can people here tell me their experience of either Black or Oyster interior - and their matching trim? I have just a little time to make changes (or not)!

have you thought of mokka interiors with the aluminum trim?
Mine has Black High Gloss but it catches everything: dust, fingerprints, etc (I have a small spray bottle with dishwasher soap and water to clean it but still, it remains clean for a couple of hours - I never pull down any window)

Oyster would totally be bad for my lifestyle. I went with brown interior. The o my thing I don’t like is that they made some brown plastic parts to match. I think they do this with oyster as well. If it’s plastic just leave it black.

I love the eucalyptus wood. Never looks dirty. I also love raw wood.

The best combination is cream Oyster Vernasca Leather seats with Eucalyptus open-pored Fine-wood Interior Trim and Portimao Blue paint. Never had an issue with the wood trim. Always looks clean. And the cream seats are still pristine one year later. All depends on how you care for your car.
