I used to buy a Tall drip coffee everyday until 6 years ago when my gf moved in and demanded I buy a coffee maker. Now I'm a coffee snob and grind and brew my Kicking Horse "Kick Ass" beans at home. Usually if you see me in a Starbucks I'm there to use the bathroom.

For whatever reason Starbucks seems to have a burnt taste to me. I used to go to get something like a Frappuccino but now that I’m on keto, I really only drink black coffee and theirs tastes like crap to me.

Love their coffee and sammys but I think it's expensive in Canada. $18 for a tall latte and coffe and two bagels sheesh...

Brew at home but will occasionally stop at a Starbucks if traveling. Stick to a basic latte, usually around $3.75 or so as I recall. Been several months since I've bought one...

I use Dunkin Dark at home. I went there this morning to restock and got a latte while there instead of my usual Starbucks. It's not the same. I don't drink regular coffee out. I like it strong - hence my 5 shot lattes, so any regular coffee bought outside tastes like dirty water to me.

Happy Monday everyone.

Starbucks is for suckers.

$11 for uneeded calories and caffeine? I'll pass.

I stop by starbucks once or twice a week as there's one with a drive thru on my way to work. I was never into the frappamochaorganic-chailattechino drinks so, a plain grande americano does the job.

I don't even want to figure it out. I make a 6 cup pot at home in the morning and kill it. I stop at Starbucks and get my latte with 5 shots of espresso. That's normally it. I used to drink coffee all day long. Can't do that anymore, it really disturbs my sleep if I drink caffeine after 2:00 pm.

yeah that is not healthy. That is like the amount of caffeine in 6 12 oz red bulls, that is the medium sized one. That would be over 9 normal sized red bulls.

Sorry but almost all the coffee shops I have visited cannot even come close to what I pull my own shots at home. I only go to mom & pop coffee shops when I travel and almost certainly not a Starbucks.

Learn to pull your own shots people. Get a decent machine and learn a new skill if you love coffee so much.

this is pretty awesome! literally didn't know how much people love/hate Starbuck's but yet if you go to a Starbuck's the lines are long as well as the drive-thrus. on that note I found it funny that I had to wait almost 20 min in drive thru to get my coffee with only 3 cars in front of me. But yet I can go through a Chic-Fila drive thru with 30 cars in front of my and get out in 5 min

Same out here too. Short line, long wait times. Also having a drink fixed seems to offend a good majority of them.

On a separate discussion, is there a need to tip for coffee? I don't understand the principle on tipping for coffee.

I had to put them on timeout for a couple years when I read that they did not support our troops. Someone asked the home office if they could send the troops a little coffee and they said, we do not support the military action. Thankfully, I discovered Pete’s and didn’t miss Starbucks in the least.

Be cheaper to just hire your own hot barista as live in, could probably provide other services too
