How can you say it tastes bad?? it tastes like American mainstream swill, all those "lite" beers ... more tasteless than tasting bad per se.
It's not really beer is it, and that's why it does well. |

I'll drink my own.
Below is a delicious Rye IPA made with 25% rye malt, Mt. Hood and Columbus hops. Glass is from Highland Brewing Co. in Asheville, NC.

Never been a huge beer drinker, always preferred the hard stuff. But Corona got me drinking the occasional beer when I was younger, back then I thought it tasted better than other beers. I've since broaden my horizons and travelled to Europe more than a few times due to work, there they have vastly better beers, still wouldn't say I'm a huge beer drinker but I've travelled enough to try my hand at a few where ever I go. I still think Corona is not that bad, I prefer it over a Bud/Coors/Molson but there are other beers I'd prefer over a Corona. I just don't get the hate...
Edit: Most recently, I actually really liked this beer on my trip to Oslo. I only like ordering it when there is a female bartender thou

Since we're talking about beer, I have to say that with all these "craft" breweries popping up that there's a lot of absolute GARBAGE out there. For every 10 craft beers I have, there are one or two decent ones in there.

My son left 6 BLites in my fridge for over 3 weeks. Yesterday I finally decided I needed some more weight in my can recycling, and popped the top on all 6.
I promptly poured them down the drain in the driveway, then washed my hands. Then I stuck a 12 of Newcastle in the fridge, in case my dad didn't like either the merlot or melbec I found for him |

You're not wrong. It's nice to see a few others reping Higlands in this thread; they're my current favorite. I've had plenty of bad micro-brews though...at least to my taste. We should just be glad we have the choice though. We sure didn't 20 years ago.

You're spot on. The Americans have come a long way in the past few years. But like with other hypes in this country, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to make a few dollars. Unfortunately, many do it for the love of the dollar vs. the love of the beer.

Any beer that gets served in a glass the size of my head is in my book. Love Hoegaarden on a patio.

Also if you haven't had a chance to, try this...Innis & Gunn Original. The beer is aged for 77 days in oak barrels. So good!

I like Corona just fine with some lime, I prefer Pacifico, but I'll drink either. There is a time and place for everything. I'm not going to have a Chimey when I'm outside in the heat. On that occasion I want a light refreshing beer.

I enjoy Corona with a lime.
Not a beer connoseur here, nor do I intent to be one. I like a good Hefeweizen, Guinness, Kirin Ichiban, Sopporo, and Stella. Not a fan of IPAs and I've tried various craft beer, some that was delicious and some that was appalling. Of the American beer, I cannot drink any of it except for Yuengling. That all being said, I do agree that knocking Corona but enjoying Michelob Ultra Lime is kind of funny. For a light beer on a hot day with some BBQ, Corona is my choice. I prefer Vodka and Scotch to beer, though. |
