I love pets but they're just too much work, too much money and too much time invested on a creature that we know will certainly 100% sure die before us.

Get an Alligator or Parrot or some turtles ect.

There are pets that will be a life long commitment if that's your thing...

Yeah I think so, like you said, as opposed to two the same age...

Today we got the ashes back. I have to admit I was glad to get them back. I found a card from 2003 with 2 apts on it and what they did, checked off by a vet, and I placed it into the box with the ashes. I'm sure we'll keep them forever...
