An Alpina B4 will run about ~8K euros less than an M4 model.

Base price on a B4 Coupe is 69,800 in Germany. For the B4 AWD it is 72,700 and for the B4 vert it is 75,900 That includes an eight speed ZF trans with Alpina switchtronic SW and buttons behind the steering wheel. 410 PS.

In contrast to BMW M4 prices in Germany... M4 coupe with DCT 77,600. For a M4 vert base price with DCT is 83,600

Currently in EU, when regular BMWs are sold with 25% off sticker and Ms at 15-20% off sticker, an Alpina looks like an expensive proposition.. Unless, of course, they also do good discounts.
I don't think you can get a 20% or 25% off sticker on a new BMW car. I think the normal discount is in the 8% to 12% range.

A friend of mine in Austria tells me he could order a new Individual M4 or M3 any way he wants... and he would get a 12% discount. But the reason why is bc in Austria the car tax is quite high... and most people just buy a diesel model to avoid the high yearly taxes. For instance... on a 335i or 135i... you will pay about 1,400 euros in tax every year in Austria. While only a few hundred euros for say a 420d xDrive. And the xDrive you can use all year round. Winter lasts for about six months some years!

Thanks Dackel, i used to see a number of Alpina's in the U.k. I'm a fan of the wheels, not everyone's taste, but they've stuck with the design for decades now!

I would prefer an M3 based model, I just think the rear 1/4 looks off on the 4 series, but this car does look good. The green vert looks great though, I'll take that!

AC Schnitzer is another tuner you don't see much in the states....

Another educational road trip. Thank you!

I believe you can, depending on the model. E.g. here:

Damn I really need to go to Germany. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Helen soon to get a faux Germany fix.

Great story Dackel as always!

I caught the B4's brother the D4 a few weeks ago.

Surprisingly the duel with my M135i ended in a draw - Surprisingly... (in my eyes and in this specific situation)

But really great car with amazing style! And racing is not the meaning of an Alpina...
