It wasn't the clearest post, I sort of figured that's what you thought.
When the S2k came out and I test drive it, it felt exactly like my NB Miata up to the Miata's 7,000 rpm redline, it just had another 2k rpm to go. I loved the AP1 and the twitchy rest end. Less enamored with the more buttoned down AP2. |

I still have my S2000, I just hope they will not destroy this legend .
In France, the value of a clean S2000 went up this 2 last years (+4/5k€ average), and the old NSX value went crazy (x2).

I have an AP2 S2000 now and I have yet to find a car more suited to track abuse. You can get some serious lap times without worrying about everything breaking or overheating. I seriously think it's the best HPDE car you can buy.
Of course a Miata is cheaper, but it is sloooow. A corvette is much faster but has way more issues. I long for a company to make another S2000, but not to ruin it with turbos and autos. Make it light, stiff, and with a zippy engine that screams at you! |

What blows my mind if why no one has tried to copy that recipe. The FRS for example, should have come out with at least the same HP as as a 17 year old S2000!
