one thing i remember about visiting canada is that if i didn't have canadien money with me......
the store would downgrade my U.S. $ to the equivalent of the canadien currency..... e.g. something that cost $15 canadien......and i paid $20 USD.....I get $5 canadien change... i think i got rip off.........

I was invited but it took 4 hours to cross the border because US Immigration was fingerprinting all Brown people even if they were Canadian Citizens. I did not have ANY charges - ever - and I had lived in the US for 6 years previously while at the University of Rochester. I am lucky that US Border Guards did not send me to Syria to be tortured - just in case.... I will admit to being the Easter Bunny at the threat of torture. I am chicken.... |
