0.8 bar which equates to around 11.6 PSi. Stock car boost at 0.6 bar.

Good gains for such a small hike in boost. Would you expect a car with the stock exhaust and dual cone intake to yield similar numbers to bmwbailey's car with his Miltek system?

Hi Yahoo

We have not tested any DCI's yet on our dyno so am unable to give an indication of what can be achieved with such a set up.

Cool - My understanding is that the stock airbox is not restrictive at stock boost levels. When boost increases above stock levels the airbox becomes increasingly restrictive. A dual cone intake will therefore yield higher gains the more boost a car is running.

The more aggresive piggyback tunes seem to benefit well from DCIs, but these are running up to 14-15 psi.

Do you anticipate offering a map that appoaches 400bhp / 13-14 psi as you become more experieced with the N54?

Acheiving that power/boost is not the issue. As we have full control of the ECU we can request various boost levels. The issue is the endurance of engine running this level of boost. At the moment we are going to stick to 0.8 bar but I wouldn't completely rule out offering a higher boost map in the future.

The reason for sticking to 0.8 bar is to save ourselves and our customers warranty issues.

steptronic´s gearbox handle torque?

Hi

my steptronic is remapped to 360 hp 480 nm (limited)
thats way less than others on this thread like 550nm.
from manual transmission my tuner takes 520nm.

they have done this because some AT gearbox´s had some
trouble after some time because too much torque.said something about heat or when something part "x" slip once its allways slipping

any info about his subject? anyone?

Garage List
That does sound low as mine is remapped to 385bhp and 410ft/lb. This is a very old thread though. You might get more joy starting a new one. What type of map are you running?
