I had a 93 Turbo and those were the days when Toyota quality was a legit thing as opposed to today where they are getting by on reputation only. The carpet was thicker and more plush than anything you will find in today's BMW, MB, Audi vehicles. Soft touch plastics everywhere and perfect interior ergonomics. My only gripe was that the 3S-GTE engine wasn't as good as the 4G63T or SR20DET engines of those days that were smoother and easier to make big power.

My current ride (after mods). Just the right amount of minimalism.

^ I like that a lot.
The e46 m3 has always been my favorite. All black CSL with the cloth bucket seats. The f30 interior also looks nice, though actually owning it a lot of the materials are sub par. There's the wind noise, thin glass, and about 12 death rattles. The interior quality is the worst thing about the car. |

I guess if you always have a 5 year old in the passenger seat it serves a purpose. But seriously I want to get the angle grinder every time I see that. |

Now that i think of it, i don’t think I’ve owned an interior that looked truly exceptional. This one probably looks the best, but i don’t like it as much as the OP’s Exige.

Favourite dashboard easily goes to my e91 (no i-drive)...that one long swooping line is beautiful! Shame it's ruined by terrible pedal offset (RHD), and the non-sport seats that I have. Also many buttons are difficult to distinguish with one hand while driving, and some things on the stalks (auto wipers especially) are obscured by the steering wheel. Still really really like my car, but the seating position and pedal offset are a huge niggle for me. |

I think on the market right now, the 992 might be the best designed interior. It is so luxurious and screwed together so well. The Porsche cars also always feel like they were chiseled from one solid piece. No other car I’ve owned or been in exuded quality along with quality materials as well. Lamborghinis are always very nice looking as well. Really like the pilot themed approach.
A couple favorites that I have owned (still have the 991 CS). Last edited by Leftkeylife; 07-25-2020 at 08:52 PM.. |

The nicest car I've ever owned in any category is my e92M. So that's my answer here. Mine is a stripper car with ZCP, so it has speed cloth, no nav, and a manual. It's the perfect spec for me. Although it's not my dream car, it's been such a great experience to own. And yes, I dig the simplicity and functionality of the interior. It's not the prettiest, but it's unoffensive as well.

I've always strongly disliked the interior of the 3rd gen IS because the design is so immature and boy racer looking. It looks totally out of place in a luxury vehicle. The Germans are able to blend a sporty and luxurious design but Lexus just can't figure it out. There is no option for real leather either so the interior materials aren't much nicer than a Honda Accord.

I still have a soft spot for the 96 Prelude VTEC I owned. It was ahead of its time with the electro luminescent gauges, the seats were very supportive and it had a nice low driving position. Everybody who rode in it always had compliments on the dash. The interior materials aged very well.

It's a bit spartan compared to today's cars but my 04 Z4 is a very comfortable office. Excuse the milky pic.
