Yea Rammstein goes balls to the wall thats for sure, in th concert i watched, i was in General Standing, which is my favourite to get tickets for, and there was still the Golden Circle area in front of me, when they hit the Pyrotechnics, i could feel the warmth from the display, so i dont want to know what the fans in the front felt.

Plenty of International acts come to Australia and the best of them I've seen was Foo Fighters. Epic stadium band! Sad news about Taylor and waiting for a refund on the now-cancelled tour in December. Runner up with a different vibe was Train - Pat Monahan really endeared himself to the crowd.
Totally different vibe again but saw Neil Diamond and found it a bit too scripted like he was just going through the motions. Older crowd obviously but a bit waffley and boring. I've been to Neil Diamond impersonator shows and they go off a lot harder than Neil himself. Among Aussie bands, Midnight Oil in their prime were excellent. I just wish Garrett would keep his mouth shut on politics and stick to singing and his awesome dancing. This was before he got into politics so he was really mouthy. Overall great concerts though. Baby Animals have some great music and sound terrific live but Susie Demarchi just carried on like a foul-mouthed gronk between songs. I get it they are a "Rock Band" but this particular concert was at a Winery with lots of family groups present and the expletives flowed non-stop. Icehouse sound a bit like the way people are describing the Cars (never seen them) - great studio albums but just didn't do it very well live. Last edited by Caduceus; 04-06-2022 at 03:49 AM.. |

Too bad about the Joe Walsh non-performance. He is one of my favorites. I've only seen him live as part of the Eagles, but I listened to his music a lot in the early years. Life's been good to me so far is one of my favorite songs. I think is role in the Eagles is awesome. He rocks it up a bit and they give him his space to be Joe, but he never tries to take over the core nature of the group. I'd go see him solo now in a heartbeat. Who knows how he'd be but it would be worth a shot. |

Saw Cream in the late 60's at Woolsey Hall on the Yale campus. Clapton playing through 8 Twin Reverbs 2x4 stacks, no mics needed. Tower of Power about 5 times one of the best live shows. Caught David Bowie Glass Spider tour with Peter Frampton, absolutely impressive. Bette Midler was about as soulful as it gets when I saw her with the Harlettes.
J. Geils Band was so much crazy fun. Not much of a Dead fan till I saw them and then it all became clear. Aquarium Rescue Unit with Col. Bruce Hampton (RIP) just mystical. |

Styx ROCKS at the local county fair, almost every year.
Kenny G at the local community center was great. Man just knows how to blow (that's a good thing) Eagles - At the Santa Barbara Bowl (Hell Freezes Over) they were great. At some place in Anaheim (after the deaths), not so much. Greatest memory, I went to some little place in OC, with my dad, to see Ravi Shankar. O M G!! Once we got into the place, Andrea Bocelli at the Hollywood Bowl!! |

I neglected to mention Genesis on my list wish I had seen them earlier but they were still great. Also at the Atlantic records show I was quite impressed w Foreigner a band I never really liked that much. There used to be an out door bar at the Jersey shore called Trade Winds, had the pleasure of seeing the band their and 45 minute surprise set by Bruce w house band.

My first concert was the Scorpions. It was a great concert but at that point in my life I was more interested in thinking about getting laid after the concert. David bowie was a great concert also but I think I was to high to remember. My all time favorite concert was Hootie and the Blowfish in Colorado. All time worst was seeing K.C. and the Sunshine Band. He was sweating like a pig on stage and should've hung it up long ago

I haven’t gone to many concerts but here are the ones I’ve gone to and enjoyed:
- Andrea Bocelli at SAP center in 2016 (Ali passed away the same day so Andrea came back on stage and sang “Time To Say Goodbye.”) - Ed Sheeran at AT&T Park in 2018 - Boyz 2 Men at Mountain Winery in 2021 (last minute as me and a friend found out about it an hour before it started) - Ed Sheeran at Royal Albert Hall (this was 2 weeks ago and was a quick detour from my Ireland and Scotland trip). Amazing venue and performance. Would like to go to more and see Eagles, Eminem, Frank Sinatra tribute, Michael Jackson tribute, etc. |
